Q: What is Pamela Erere Foundation- PEF?
A: PEF is a non-profit organization founded after Pamela Erere Emerhana the sister to the founder- Jennifer Mairo Akporehe to encourage people all over the world to engage in acts of kindness towards children from broken homes, children raised by single moms, divorced women, single moms and widows.
Q: How did PEF begin?
A: In the wake of the passing of Pam, Jennifer decided to pursue a dream that Pam was had- To be a nun and dedicate her life to helping these women and children, especially in African countries with little or no government aid. Fast forward 15 years her goodwill and ambition at such a tender age inspired us to get involved and support the PEF movement. We thought we were just giving food and clothes to these women and kids, but it has grown into so much more.
Q: Who founded PEF?
A: PEF was founded by Jennifer and Barnabas Akporehe, Dallas residents, whose family member Pam passed at age 14 to kidney related illnesses, a first hand child of divorce who always insisted that a lot would have been different in her life had her parents stayed married. They founded Pamela Erere Foundation in honor of Pam and as a way to remember their sister and show others that it only starts with a dream, and that all women and children can have the lives they desire and deserve

We hope people like you would get involved too. Notable companies who believe in our dream and have supported include Pei Wei, Bluwave Car Wash, Fidelity Bank Nigeria Plc,
Q: How does PEF spend the contributions?
A: PEF is an organization based on volunteerism and 90% of contributions are used to support our programs, tuition, mosquito nets, medicine, basic amenities and education. The remainder of funds are for administrative activities such as website expenses, shipment of goods abroad and regulatory and registration requirements.
Q: Why is PEF unique?
A: PEF is a compassionate charitable organization with the vision of reaching and aiding women and children throughout the world. We are not a Dallas only, Nigeria only healing or support program. However, we focus mainly on;
Children from broken homes, children raised by single moms, divorced women, single mothers and widows. We fight for those that once had a regular family and had it taken away for one reason or the other. That’s why we are UNIQUE. We are not a political advocacy group. We also do fundraising efforts to support those who have suffered in this divorce/single-parenting situation. We are a goodwill-raising organization that exists to support such people the world over one at a time. With your support we are sure to achieve this.
